Recent Reviews Vic's
- Baken London (4 weeks ago):
Both the cacio e pepe and bolognese were packed full of flavour. They were also cooked just right with the al dente chewy texture. Would recommend based on the food! However the decor and atmosphere was a little odd. Not a lot of natural or artificial lighting which made it moody but the vibe of the staff and other restaurant goers were more relaxed and casual than the decor would suggest. Also Drinks were also a tad expensive at $18+ a pop.

Food varied. The meatball pie was good but a little spicy. I didn’t like the spinach pie because I’m not a white pie person. The chicken parm was ok. I wish it had a little more suave and cheese and wasn’t as burnt on the outside. Loved the basil touch. The olive pasta I didn’t tu because I don’t like olives and the other pasta was really good! I love the meat and snow peas! Would prob not come back because it’s not my style BUT would def recommend it for someone who is NOT as picky as me! The bathroom is downstairs so having crutches I skipped and waited that’s the only con.

Vic’s is, without question, our favorite and most consistently outstanding restaurant in NYC—which is saying something, considering we dine there at least once a week. The cocktails are exceptional: expertly crafted, generously poured, and very reasonably priced. The food is always spectacular—super fresh, incredibly flavorful, and of consistently high quality. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort; sophisticated without ever feeling pretentious. The service is truly top-notch. We’re always treated like family, but what impresses me most is that it’s not just us. The management and assistant managers make a point of checking on guests throughout the dining room, creating a warm and welcoming experience for everyone. It’s a wonderful touch that sets Vic’s apart. On our most recent visit, we arrived without a reservation and were graciously accommodated by the lovely hostess, Isabell. I was genuinely amazed when she greeted me by name as we approached the host stand. That level of attentiveness and hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about the culture of the restaurant. Outstanding food, amazing cocktails, impeccable service, and genuine hospitality—Vic’s continues to exceed expectations every single time.

Had a big meal, three appies and 2 pastas and chicken Milanese. Loved everything. The tiramisu was amazing. The wine in the pic was terrific. Great service and vibe. It’s noisy though.

Delicious! So much thoughtfulness applied in marrying the flavors. It warmly invites the palate to partake in a nurturing and transformative experience. Mia, our host, provided a delightful visit for us, with many star suggestions that agreed with the vibe we were going for. Must be enjoyed with good company... it makes a difference. Dine with love and appreciation.

Not typical traditional Italian, BUT did not disappoint. Service and food were immovable. The crispy onions weeee a refreshing change for an appetizer, followed by toasted bread with Smokey brick oven flavor. We had the flank steak with wild mushrooms and grilled asparagus !!! Omg. Flank steak was medium rare with brunt edges which were crispy just on the edge !!! Asparagus was fabulous. Tiramisu for desert— pet peeve. It had none of the soggy limp lady finger. Was not Too sweet and just the right amount of cocoa and coffee. Perfection!!! Definitely recommend. !!! Stand out tiramisu !! A dessert whose yeast rests on subtlety and the chef nailed it !! Worth every penny

Vic’s is a terrific spot. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The back room with the skylight is beautiful. The pasta dishes are unique and delicious. Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable. We will be back soon.

rotating menu but always great... the kind of place you want to try at least 3 dishes in each section of the menu. Service is attentive without being annoying or pretentious, the decor inviting and casual and always buzzing with full medium to large groups. Only surprise was how small the pasta portion was for a main, it was smaller than what I would consider an appetizer portion.
